Responsibilities:
Act as a technical advisor/leader for consultancy projects for corporate clients across a variety of economic sectors focusing on such topics as low carbon economy transition and related transition risks and opportunities assessment in line with TCFD, energy market analysis, low carbon options assessment related to energy efficiency improvement and renewable energy, development of low carbon / net-zero strategies and other related climate change and clean energy topics.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of project outputs within the budget.
Assist senior sellers and account directors/managers in identifying and pursuing potential business opportunities with existing and new clients. Help develop proposals for clients, including methodological approach and description of tasks, budgets and team structures.
Support Regional Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change Lead in building capacities and sharing knowledge and lessons learnt within internal ERM consultancy team and externally: help prepare and co-lead workshops, webinars, learning sessions and training, prepare thought leadership materials, communication pieces, guidance and toolkits.
Requirement:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy, Economics, Climate Change, Sustainability, Finance or related field.
At least 6 years of experience in clean energy, energy analytics, climate change, low carbon options assessment; work experience in Asia and understanding regional context is a must.
Good understanding of low carbon energy transition, related risks and drivers for the energy sector and key players; knowledge and ability to advise on GHG mitigation technologies related to energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Very strong analytical skills and ability to analyse GHG and energy-related data and draw conclusions and practical recommendations as a result of the analysis.
Strong written, verbal communication and data presentation skills. Ability to present complex and technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
Ability to work both in a team and independently, with minimal supervision.
Capacity and willingness to lead consultancy projects and project teams; ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and meet deadlines.
Good command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and online communication tools.
Experience with data management systems and tools is a plus.
Fluency in English. Knowledge of other Asian languages will be considered a plus.
