Job Responsibilities
・Manage domestic and international suppliers
・Develop purchasing strategies which meet budgetary and operational requirement
・Set up and achieve department goals and controls
・Make suggestion for operational improvement in areas of distribution process, cost reduction, quality and productivity
・Coordinate regular supply chain meeting
・Handle procurement from overseas suppliers, total cost of company purchase, research & identification of potential new suppliers
・Ensure suppliers to be aware of business objectives
・Develop and implement strategies for procurement, distribution of goods and services and maintaining stock levels
・Conduct research to procure products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedule and quality
・Drive local and global projects to align with global project procurement function between company groups
・Monitor prices of direct material and indirect material and cost of forwarding and transportation
・Manage synchronization and localization of engine component and parts, and reduce cost of procurement materials
・Plan, delegate, communicate and monitor work assignment and special projects for the department
・Evaluate and set target performance of subordinates
・Other responsibilities as needed
Necessary Skill / Experience
・Min. Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering
・Business English proficiency (efficient in communicating with expat via email or orally)
・Min. 3 years as Procurement Supervisor in automotive or machinery industry
・Experienced in new supplier development and reading drawing (knowledge of parts/component names)
・Proficient in MS Office
・Hard working, smart, good personality, good work ethics, good communication, good leadership skills
Preferable Skill / Experience
・Working experience in Japanese company
