THE CHALLENGE

Janio is looking for a Head of Commercial, Indonesia to join our rapidly expanding global team. We are looking for a seasoned and numbers-driven leader to help us build and scale across our commercial and partnerships functions. In this role, you will be required to design and implement core go-to-market initiatives that support our growth in Indonesia.

As a senior leader in the company, you will also need to be able to influence the company's strategy and vision at both a country and regional level. You are expected to plan clear commercial milestones and provide structure and processes that drives efficiency and growth. Working closely with the country's general manager, this role also expects you to assume country-level P&L responsibilities.

As part of your responsibilities, you will be the go-to personnel overseeing Indonesia's commercial strategy, deep dive into complex business challenges and spearhead all commercial initiatives. This position is exposed to multiple aspects of business setup in a fast-paced startup environment and is well suited for candidates with an entrepreneurial and go-getter's mindset.

You must be a hands' on, roll up your sleeves type of leader who is able to operate well with little to no guidance, and should enjoy a fast-paced, high impact entrepreneurial environment. This position requires the individual to navigate many unchartered grounds and build processes and teams from ground up. THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Head of Commercial, Indonesia, this role plays a leading and strategic role in charting the course of Janio's business vision and to deliver new solutions to meet the increasing business requirements from Indonesia. You will be the leading driver to push Janio's business vision, strategy and implementation of our commercial strategy in the Indonesian market.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

The success candidate will:
  • Play a leading role in planning and executing Janio Indonesia's commercial milestones consistently
  • Enforce strong collaboration across multiple functions (both locally and regionally) to effectively translate the company's vision into actionable commercial strategies
  • Take ownership of Janio's commercial health and represent our clients to all internal stakeholders
  • Own the design and implementation of Janio's most critical go-to-market processes and initiatives
  • Actively develop and facility effective internal and external partnerships and communications to drive business growth
  • Own the key accounts management functions and maintain a strong client-partner relationship with our clients to support their regional growth
  • Drive revenue generation and inherit the sales pipeline, reporting, and analysis which supports overall target setting for the Asia region
  • Assume P&L responsibilities for key markets under your charge
THE REQUIREMENTS
  • Min. 8 years of working experience in a commercial strategy role and proven leadership track record in an ecommerce or logistics capacity. Related experience in management consulting, cross-border ecommerce is a plus.
  • Have a decent understanding of logistics across the B2C, B2B and Fulfillment space.
  • Proven leadership and track-record in building and managing large teams, communicating expectations and execution under strict time pressure
  • Strong business intuition: Experience breaking down complex business problems into key levers digestible next steps.
  • Ability to synthesize product and business vision into effective development roadmap.
  • Strong project management skills, with success owning complicated cross-functional programs and projects to timelines across common goals
  • Ability to craft compelling presentation and able to relay information in a seamless manner
  • Comfortable communicating in both English and Bahasa Indonesia with strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills. Ability to communicate in a third language is highly favoured.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to navigate and thrive in fast-changing work environments
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and consistently demonstrating a high proclivity for excellence
  • Experience influence stakeholders is a plus
